George A. Olah, Arpad Molnar, Hydrocarbon Chemistry, Second Edition
Wiley | ISBN: 0471417823 | 2003 | PDF | 871 pages | 29.83 MB
Seven years have passed since the publication of the first edition of our books. It is rewarding that the good reception of interest in hydrocarbon chemistry and called for a second edition. All chapters have been updated (usually considered literate by 2001) by adding a section on recent developments to review new advances and results. Two new chapters have also added to the acylation as well as emerging trends and areas (including green chemistry, combinatorial chemistry, fluorous biphase catalysis, solvent-free chemistry, and the formation by recycling CO2 from the atmosphere) . For him the importance of a more detailed treatment of chemical reduction of CO2 as a source for hydrocarbons are also included in Chapter 3. The new edition should keep our books on current and continuous use for interested readers.
